Wafco Mills Condominium Trash and Recycling Updates
The Board of Directors is working with vendors to create the best possible long term solution for handing out garbage and recycling. We plan to present our design at the December Historic Preservation meeting. Please feel free to attend that meeting which is open to the public.
Important Notice:
As of August 1, 2024, Wafco Mills Condominiums has ended access to the dumpsters on Cedar Avenue after years of negotiations. In response, we’ve implemented a new garbage collection plan. Each unit will now be billed $3.50 per month through Greensboro City Water, replacing the previous $15.15+ monthly charge from HOA dues. This change provides a cost-saving solution for our community!
Temporary Solution:
Green garbage cans (household waste) and brown recycling cans are now available in the parking spaces by buildings 626/104. We encourage all residents to use these facilities respectfully and to help inform guests and tenants about proper waste disposal practices.
New Trash and Recycling Cans: Additional trash and recycling cans have been placed at the temporary location on Wafco Lane. Check your email for more details from Leighsa! Thank you for helping keep our community tidy by disposing of waste respectfully and sharing this information with neighbors and guests.
Recycling Reminder:
Flatten Your Cardboard: To keep the area clean and organized, please remember to flatten all cardboard before placing it in the recycling cans. You may need to fold and step on it to ensure it fits. Only items that fit inside the cans should be left there—keeping our shared spaces neat benefits everyone.
